We’re excited to announce that Amazon has partnered with LifeWorks, a Value Added Services provider, to offer counseling (both in-person and virtual options), life coaching, financial consulting, legal consulting, elder/child care consulting, as well as other services. These services are available to DSPs and your All team members, as well as immediate family members, at no charge for the next 6 months to provide support for COVID-19-related concerns and other concerns in general. After the initial 6 month-offering, individuals can continue services, if they wish, for a fee.
Effective immediately, each individual is eligible to receive three free sessions per issue or need. Some examples of common concerns are stress, anxiety, depression, relationship or marital conflict, job pressures, grief, legal concerns, or substance abuse issues.

Q: Who is eligible to receive services?
A: DSPs owners in the U.S. and Canada and their All team members, including DAs, as well as immediate family members, which is defined as those living in the same household or dependents, of these groups.
Q: What is the Effective date of the service?
A: The support service is available as of Monday, May 18, 2020.
Q: What is the end date for the program?
A: If an individual wishes to take advantage of this program, he or she is encouraged to utilize the service by November 18, 2020. After this time, DSPs, their teams and family members can elect to continue the service for a fee.
Q: Is the program solely to assist with COVID-19 concerns?
A: No. Your concern does not have to be directly related to COVID-19. LifeWorks will provide support for the next 6 months for COVID-19 concerns or otherwise. Support includes:

Q: How are counseling and services provided?
A: Services may be provided face-to-face where local jurisdictions allow, via video counseling, or via online chat support.
Q: Are calls and services confidential?
A: Calls, chats, and any other communication with LifeWorks are confidential and no information pertaining to the identity of the caller will be shared with Amazon or your usual/existing healthcare providers. In addition, callers will not be penalized or retaliated against in any way for utilizing the service. Each call or session is administered by a highly-trained, professional counselor or clinician.
Q: How many sessions are included per individual?
A: LifeWorks will support three sessions per presenting issue per individual. The counselor will work with the individual to increase sessions, if deemed necessary, or work with the individual to identify other services through their healthcare provider if services needed are beyond the scope of this program and/or if more comprehensive services are needed.
Q: What happens if an individual requires additional sessions?
A: Individuals will be advised during the initial intake session/call that they have three sessions per presenting issue. During the first session, the counselor will remind the individual they have three sessions per presenting issue. If additional services are required for a presenting issue, the counselor the will explore the option to extend the number of sessions at no cost to the individual.
Q: Is there a cost to individuals to use this service?
A: There is no cost to eligible participants as part of this program for three sessions per presenting issue or for additional sessions if the counselor deems additional sessions necessary. However, costs may be incurred through the individual’s healthcare provider if services are needed beyond the scope of the program and/or if more comprehensive services are needed and an individual chooses to pursue these additional services. This process will be clearly explained during the initial intake call. An individual will not incur any cost without being clearly notified of and agreeing to services outside the scope of this program.
Q: If an individual has extended services beyond the three free sessions and wishes to continue utilizing services at a charge beyond November 18, is that possible?
A: Amazon is making this program available at no charge to DSPs, DAs and family members for 6 months. After that, there is the option for the DSP to extend services for a fee if they wish. If services are required after November 18th, the individual can seek to continue the program directly with Lifeworks for a fee.
